A Case Study of Locutionary, Illocutionary, and Perlocutionary Speech Acts in English Learning Interactions in Junior High School

This study aimed to describe the forms and functions of speech acts used by teachers students in learning English class VII-A State Junior High School 1 Medan, North Sumatra. The method was a descriptive using qualitative approach. data sources were 2 30 Medan. technique recording, observing, taking notes. Data analysis techniques consisted (1) collection, (2) reduction, (3) presentation, (4) verification or concluding. results this indicated that there three teacher student learning. These included perlocutionary, locutionary, perlocutionary acts. Locutionary directive, assertive, imperative. Illocutionary expressive, commissive, declarative. Perlocutionary satire, understanding, submission, convincing shape. illocutionary, report, tell, inquire, order, beg, mention, sue, praise.
